The SENCO, of this Client School has asked Edustaff to recruit a Learning Support Assistant. The post involves working half day with a pupil who has Cerebral Palsy, and the rest as a general LSA. The position is available from September and will last for the whole Academic Year.
Ideally the SENCO would like a graduate who is already experienced with CP, but this is not essential as long as you can show empathy, commitment to the school, initiative and perseverance.
You would be joining a large and extensive Special Needs department of seven full time members; a number of Graduate Learning Support Assistant's. The Special Needs Co-Ordinator is well versed in the use of Learning Support Assistants; past successful candidates have reported that they where well mentored and supported throughout their term.
During this placement you will receive a wide and varied experience and you will be asked to fully immerse yourself in all aspects of the school.
